Nissan’s Groundbreaking 4-Hour Animated EV Ad Captivates Millions
Eight million people actually enjoyed an animated advertisement for an electric vehicle. I wouldn’t believe it unless I saw it. The journey began in April, featuring this relaxing endeavor, which apparently held therapeutic benefits for several viewers. This project was created for the instrumental YouTube channel Lofi Girl, featuring artwork by the Los Angeles-based studio Titmouse. In fact, it might just be the sole promotional video you’d willingly watch repeatedly, all four hours of it especially if you are studying or just relaxing. Well done, Nissan (a sentence we never imagined penning). I almost didn’t realize that it was an advertisement for the car company. That’s when an ad is…
Apple Event March 8
Yesterday Apple announced its first event of 2022, set to take place next Tuesday, March 8th, 2022. Featuring the tagline "Peek Performance." Along with a newly designed image for the event, a set of nested Apple icons in yellow, orange, red, pink, and purple shades.
Diet Pepsi Shrank the Cat
This Diet Pepsi print ad has to be one of the most clever Diet Pepsi print ads that I’ve ever seen. It implies that people will believe that they will get so thin that they fit in a mouse hole because they drank Diet Pepsi. I mean, it happened with the cat, right? Do advertisers believe that their customers are that stupid? Comments are welcomed and appreciated in the comment section. I’d love to know what you guys think. Did the cat finally realize that any Pepsi products don’t help you to lose weight? The cat probably got stuck in the home and ended up dying within the walls. The…
Nissan Saudi National Day Ad
A family member shared this ad with me so I thought I’d share it with the Inside That Ad community. Tomorrow is officially Saudi national day, a celebration of when the kingdom was formed over 100 years ago. For this occasion, Nissan put out this ad demonstrating how the car brand has been a mainstay throughout the country‘s history. The ad shows a Saudi man driving a Nissan car through a crowd of cars going from the era of black and white to full color. Symbolizing how the car has lasted through Saudi history. At the end of the ad, it simply says Nissan congratulates Saudi citizens celebrating national day.…
Origin Stories of Famous Logos
About a week ago I read a very interesting story about some of the most famous fashion logos in the world–their origin stories if you will. I thought this should definitely be shared with Inside That Ad’s audience. Without further ado, let’s explore some of these famous logos. Lacoste René Lacoste and his tennis coach Alan Muhr made a bet involving a crocodile-skin suitcase. Mr. Lacoste didn’t win the bet but a journalist gave him the nickname “The Alligator.” American artist Robert George brings the crocodile logo to life in 1927. Burberry In 1901, the brand held a competition to find a new logo. The winning design: a mounted knight…
French Railway Ads Look Extraterrestrial
Today’s post is very much thanks to Ads of the World. I’m not sure why, but these ads remind me of comic strips from the 50s and 60s. These ads were created by TBWA for the French Railway Company.
Agency Love Letter
GLOW FYI, you’ve been added as a maker of Agency Love Letter on @ProductHunt https://t.co/fpfM6MCd3u h/t @peterlevin 🙌 — Product Hunt (@ProductHunt) February 19, 2019 I saw this post a couple of weeks ago on Twitter and promised myself to write about it because the execution was so unique. A New York City-based agency known as Glow wanted to provide an anonymous way for people to share their feelings about their ad business clients. Therefore, they created a website to allow users to write nice – or not so nice – anonymous letters to their clients and agencies. The site, AgencyLoveLetter.com, allows people to shower their agency and client partners with…
New Captain Marvel Posters are a Hit
Today being two-days after the long Presidents Day weekend, I thought why not discuss the new Captain Marvel posters I found on the Graphic Design Forum before the movie is released in theatres next month. I can already sense that this movie is going to be one of those that people wait in line for hours to go see.The posters were designed by Marvel Studios for each of the main characters in the movie—even the cat. The Story The story is set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that follows the journey of Carol…
BocciaMan Store Logo
Hello World, The first blog post of 2019 will be for showing off the new logo I had designed for the new custom t-shirt design business I started in early December of 2018. It’s still not really off the ground yet but I’m really trying. The business (BocciaMan’s Store) has already made more then this blog ever did so I see it as a good thing. I worked with a designer and this is the final concept that I liked and approved. The first design I was presented with showed the figure in the image above wearing a cap and had multiple colors. In the second and final draft, the…
Stay in the Shadows
It’s not always good to have other people’s attention. Especially when those people are car thieves. This campaign demonstrates that, thanks to Sherlock’s Antitheft Marking, the attention of thieves is diverted elsewhere. The thieves are personified by beams of light that automatically point to vehicles unmarked by Sherlock. They’re inspecting them and getting ready to steal them. Sometimes, it’s good to stay in the shadows. Other Versions are below. This is originally from Ads of the World
