Anne Almasy Ad Rejected Initially
I saw this ad for Anne Almasy, a wedding photographer on Adfreak and I had to give my two-cents. The whole story was that Weddings Unveiled, a wedding magazine initially rejected (hence this post’s title) the ad because it featured a photo of two women about to kiss. The magazine then promptly received a strongly worded open letter pretty much calling the editors of the magazine spineless for following beliefs not even their own. The magazine backtracked and allowed Ms. Almasy to use the original photo. Now, here is my issue with this whole story, couldn’t this just have been a play by the magazine to garner more attention positive…

And Now, Your Weekly Video Miscellany
Since I refuse to play any meme videos, you’ll notice that this week’s collection doesn’t have gazillions of views. I’m a snob like that. Rather, this week’s content is a love-fact, avalanche back-flipping, condom-delivering foray into cool and smart and funny things. You’ll be entertained, assuming your brain works exactly like mine does. As an extreme narcissist, I can only assume it does. Here you go, like it or not.
Zoosk Puts Go Daddy to Shame With Even Gnarlier Kissing Ad That frog is not much of a prince
Jesse Heiman kissing God’s hands—aka, Bar Refaeli’s lips—for Go Daddy on the Super Bowl was one thing. Nasty, yes, but not bestial. For the latter, we turn to Zoosk, the dating site previously best known for its lecherous heart-puppet slobbering on a laptop. This new spot takes shock-kissing to a whole new level, as the girl (after a long pause to get up her courage) sloppily makes out with a frog, who unfortunately never turns into a prince. (The thing looks real, too.) It’s certainly appalling, but I’d take issue with the direction given to the actress. Wouldn’t it be better if she were loving every second of kissing Swamp Thing rather than…

The Best Movie Posters of 2012
Written by Adrian Curry Published on 28 December 2012 It was hard to whittle down my favorite movie posters to a straight top ten this year. There was no absolute stand-out like Chris Ware’s Uncle Boonmee last year, and the majority of film posters continue to be depressingly rote and uninspired, even though the explosion of DIY illustration has started to make inroads into the world of commercial film promotion. As a symptom of my indecision I have tended to group posters together more than usual; laid out like this the year doesn’t look half bad.
