Amica Helps You Understand Saver’s Remorse
Do you know Saver’s Remorse is? If not, the Amica Mutual Insurance Company wants to help you understand it. According to the company, they are diagnosing you with Saver’s remorse if you pay less for auto insurance, but the coverage is not what you’d like it to be. Then you might be suffering from this affliction Amica has coined as Saver’s Remorse. Amica has several ads highlighting the various things they cover with their insurance, but I haven’t found different spots for Saver’s Remorse. I thought they would make an entire campaign around a phrase usually known as buyer’s remorse, not what’s discussed in this spot.
Also, there is an old TV series known as Survivor’s Remorse by Lebron James that has nothing to do with selling insurance. It was more of a comedy surrounding the life of a famous basketball player. The name of that TV show is what made me pay attention to this commercial. Furthermore, people don’t usually have any regrets about anything they can save money doing, including purchasing cheaper auto insurance. There are only a few purchase categories where people adhere to the adage “buy nice or buy twice.” I stick to that philosophy when buying computers.
The spot concludes by conveying to you, the viewer, that to help avoid the dreaded feeling of wasted savings, Amica encourages viewers to switch to one of its affordable insurance plans with superior coverage and award-winning service.
Actually, I found that Amica does have a Saver’s Remorse campaign with several spots around the phrase. The spot above is my favorite. Finally, the agency behind this campaign is Cronin, an independent ad agency with offices in Connecticut and Boston. What do all of you think of this spot? Was it entertaining enough to warrant a blog post on Inside that Ad?
